UNY OVERVIEW ON INDICATORS
1.Setting and Infrastructure (SI)
UNY has five (5) campus sites. Our Main Campus located at Jalan Colombo No.1 Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
2. Energy and climate change (EC)
UNY has used efficient energy appliances such as LED lights, the latest type of projectors, indoor and outdoor CCTV, and fire sensor system. We also applied building design with natural lighting and sufficient air circulation. UNY also has set a pilot project on solar panel implementation design plan at Museum Pendidikan Indonesia (MPI) UNY
3. Waste (WS)
We have produced regularly BIOPA Fertilizer from our organic waste. to reduce the use of plastic and paper, UNY has already developed various digitalized system for managerial use and education purpose. To deal with oil waste, we have developed method on processing oil waste into olium (alternative fuel).
4. Water (WR)
To ensure that rain water is not wasted, UNY has set a landscape design plan at Faculty of Sport Science that consist of both aesthetic and detention pond. To support detention pond functionality, there will be main water pump, filter and balancing tank that well connected with controlling tank, reservoir and collective outlet. 5. Transportation (TR)
UNY has shuttle bus that connected UNY campuses for free. We also encourage our faculty members and students to have a nice walk to our green pedestrian. It is also possible to ride our public bike to move inside the campus area.
6. Education and Research (ED)
UNY has offered some courses related with sustainability. We also encourage any breakthrough on research on the field of sustainability. Since we believe that environmental sustainability is about experiencing and nurturing positive vibe for our mother nature, we fully support our student organization and related environmental events.
