Showing Green Impetus for synthetic change at Satbayev College, Kazakhstan

Isti Yunita, M.Sc., Ph.D., lecturer in the Department of Chemistry Education at UNY, recently became a visiting professor at Satbayev University in Kazakhstan's Department of Mining and Metallurgical Institute. Isti was given the chance to instruct on "Green Catalyst for Chemical Transformation: The need for long-term growth." Isti provided information regarding the production of catalysts from egg shell waste in order to address the issue of plastic bottle waste, allowing one to draw the conclusion that optimizing waste will help address the issue of waste.

Isti also explained how iron-based catalysts are made and used as adsorbents. The advantages of using iron catalysts, which can be easily separated after use in applications, are discussed in this section. Given that synthetic dyes are used a lot in the textile industry, it is thought that a catalyst needs to be used as an adsorbent for dyes. Author: Witono; Editor: Dedy; Tj. Lak)
